VERDANT HEIRLOOM
A speculative fashion R&D project envisioning a future where humans survive by carrying living plants as wearable sources of energy and oxygen.
Software : ComfyUI, Flora, Photoshop, Davici Resolve.
THE LORE & CONCEPT
Verdant Heirloom is a creative research and development project exploring speculative fashion in a distant future where plant life is rare, precious, and essential for survival. In this world, each individual must carry a living plant as a personal source of energy and oxygen, transforming botanical life into both a life-support system and a symbol of value. The project envisions fashion-forward figures wearing translucent garments, futuristic gear, and jewel-like accessories designed to protect, display, and integrate these plants into the body. Clothing and jewelry function as hybrid systems ornamental, technological, and ecological where transparency, light, and organic materials define status and identity.
Positioned at the intersection of fashion, technology, and ecology, Verdant Heirloom explores how sustainability, material innovation, and speculative design can shape future visual identities and commercial aesthetics.
Creative R&D
The project was developed as an experimental, AI-driven workflow by the artist, focused on building a scalable and production-ready visual pipeline. Generative processes were combined with post-production techniques across image, motion, and color to achieve a polished, high-end aesthetic suitable for fashion, editorial, and brand-led applications.

BORIS :
Boris is a veteran strategist and guardian whose calm authority was forged through decades of frontier diplomacy and conflict. Once an envoy between rival settlements, he now protects fragile alliances, rare resources, and the people who depend on them. His refined appearance hides a relentless observer who values restraint, loyalty, and precise action.

SYDNEY :
Sydney is a botanical intelligence specialist trained to read ecosystems as living information networks. She studies plant behavior, climate signals, and hidden biological patterns inside Glassfield habitats, translating them into warnings and predictions. Quiet and analytical, she trusts evidence over instinct and respects nature's strange intelligence.

KLAUS :
Klaus is an exo-botanist and field scout who travels beyond controlled habitats in search of species able to survive extreme climates. He maps forgotten ecosystems, collects viable samples, and studies how life adapts under pressure. Restless and fiercely independent, he is happiest far from civilization, where discovery matters more than recognition.

SOPHIE :
Sophie is a bloom archivist and bio-synth curator who preserves living plant records from fragile artificial biomes. She combines botanical science with synthetic materials, maintaining specimens that serve as both memory and genetic archive. Gentle but exacting, she believes every preserved bloom is evidence of a future that might still be rebuilt.

VIOLET :
Violet is a signal curator and night operative who moves through urban networks where information behaves like light: fragmented, reflected, and easy to distort. She collects hidden transmissions, traces digital anomalies, and protects sensitive archives. Stylish and elusive, she treats technology as performance, camouflage, and a language few truly read.

ANIKA :
Anika is a silent scout and bio-archivist specializing in the recovery of rare biological material from unstable environments. She enters damaged habitats, retrieves living samples, and leaves as little trace as possible. Reserved and observant, Anika is driven less by discovery than preservation, believing survival may depend on what can be carried away.

JOHN :
John is an operative and strategist for missions where diplomacy, surveillance, and infiltration overlap. Formerly attached to a classified security unit, he left after questioning the systems he was ordered to protect. He now works with the Aurora Initiative, using patience, psychological insight, and discreet technology to prevent conflict before force.

JULIE :
Julie is a sensory-interface designer and field observer who explores how people adapt to unfamiliar environments through sound, motion, and perception. Working between technology and human behavior, she tests experimental wearable systems in real conditions. Curious, precise, and quietly rebellious, she believes the best tools should disappear into experience.
